Goooooooood Moooooooorning. Johnson's bbq/Johnson's chicken. Did not disappoint. The whole area brought me back such happy nostalgic memories. My son and I visited Johnson's bbq because I was not leaving The Bronx until I had some. It was the bomb,!!. The chicken was just as I remembered. I rarely ever give 1 star reviews, but I'm just so surprised that a BBQ restaurant that's been around for awhile serves inedible ribs. The meat had NO seasoning at all, and was so tough and chewy. It also had a very strong gamey smell. We couldn't eat it. We also got the chicken which was mediocre- again NO seasoning and how can fried chicken be so dry??? The fish was okay. The sides need some work - Mac n cheese was watery, collard greens had NO seasoning, and yams were decent. Now I unde
There is a reason why places like this stay open this long. Yes, the food is delicious. But, there is a vibrancy and a pulse here that you cannot buy. When you are here, you are treated like family. You get great conversation and great service. Everyone that walks in is treated with care. And the food is just as good! This is the type of place you come for one thing but see everyone walking out with something that looks delicious so you buy that as well. No matter what you get you are not going
