It’s been a while since I’ve had a memorable meal in the city. The new trend seems to be about doing classic dishes really well with the smallest twist and this place accomplishes that so well! Also I was surprised to find Mondays are half off wine bottles which really kicked the evening off well. Everything was delicious but the stars for us were the arancini salad and chicken Parmesan! Also don’t skip the onion rings, the sauce really was special!
Was able to grab a reservation yesterday for my partner’s birthday and it was such a wonderful experience. Service was amazing, very attentive and never had an empty glass of water. We loved everything we ordered. Onion rings and arancini salads to start were both delicious. Then we did the steak and shrimp scampi for mains. Steak was perfectly cooked and the herb butter sauce it comes on was delicious. Also I highly recommend the pistachio sundae for dessert!
First time getting to dine in at JR & Son with some friends last week, and the food was phenomenal! Our server Ash was the wonderful and made our experience so memorable. We had the best time! The stuffed clams are a must to start, along with the broiled octopus. I know everyone talks about loving the Chicken Parm, I would say don’t sleep on the seafood dishes. I’m still thinking about the Shrimp Scampi and Lobster Peccheri. The long green beans are a hidden gem as well. Had to get one of every
