Yes its’s dark. Yes it’s bellow street level and if you didn’t know it existed you’d walk right by but the drinks are spot on and the bar tenders are attentive and friendly and it’s a neighborhood hangout that makes everyone feel welcome. We had drinks. Old friends getting together at the bar. We weren’t hurried. The drinks were generous and cold and the spicy margarita was excellent! What more do you need from a bar? Oh, there’s also history here! It’s fantastic.
Kettle Of Fish is a great place and I prefer it over Stonewall. The servers that work here are no nonsense and lovable and make you feel like family. We had the best trio of servers and due to the amount of Nutrls with Kettle we do not remember a single one of these ladies’ names. The Suncrusier Iced Teas were also amazing and when it was suggested, I realized it was actual better that the Nutrl. We appreciate you not being cash only so many places are around the area and I prefer to see what I’
If you are a packer fan do not go here. We were excited to meet with fellow fans but this place is for local people only! That’s ok because it smelled like urine, rotting fish, and beer. Beer fine, but urine! It was dark and smelly. The bartender told us to leave. packer fan meant nothing. We have not been treated so poorly in any “Packer Bar” in the USA ever, even overseas. I grew up around taverns and football. this was an angry smelly place Beware!
