We are so back baby!! It's actually happening, Kevin's is open again in red hook for brunch and the locals could not be more jazzed. Kevin himself is in the back cooking with a lot of heart and Maria is taking care of the front with warmth and attention. Refreshingly unfussy, the food is comforting, homey, and made with love. The seafood dishes are generous and high quality, especially for the price. The ambiance is calm and nostalgic, like being at a friend's place for a meal in the best way. K
This is exactly what the neighbourhood needs, somewhere to walk in, enjoy a meal and not have to deal with people taking themselves too seriously. Loved our Sunday brunch with our super friendly server. Highly recommend.
Hidden gem, we love coming here for lunch, simple entrees with a touch of sophistication. Love their chioppino fish stew - the broth is light and flavorful. Love the grilled tuna on toasted challah (comes with avocado). Lobster roll has a good amount of fresh lobster. Lemongrass marinated hangar steak - love the marinade. Portions are large. Half-hour drive for us, but well worth it.
