King Food is a terrific little family run Chinese Food restaurant in the heart of the Upper West Side. You can't beat the location on Amsterdam Avenue between 83rd and 84th. The meal was wonderful and its so refreshing to find a place where you can still get a quality lunch for around $10 so close to Central Park and the Natural History Museum. The staff was friendly. This is a Chinese takeout spot!! I ordered two dinner meals and they included a free soda. I called a few minutes earlier for pickup and when I arrived they had it ready for me. The lady who was in the front was very kind and sweet. Great price, $9.50 each plate better than most Chinese takeout spots. Food was warm and cooked correctly. Would recommend for cheap eats in UWS.
