We stopped into Kings of Kobe during a summer heat wave before catching the Staten Island Ferry, and it turned out to be an excellent choice for dinner. I was really excited to try this spot but after eating four plates of steak with my friend, I can tell you this was, at least for me, mediocre at best. It was very inconsistent, I know they tell you in order to keep the price down they have to vary the cuts of Steak. Well, some of them were super tender and some of it was not. I had an excellent experience at this restaurant. I had never been here before but our friends found it for us. We were able to get a reservation for 8 people on the same day. The staff were all very nice and polite. I thought the 3 course fixed price dinner for $60 was a great deal. I got a Caesar salad, salmon, and bread pudding as my meal. The salad was not your ordinary Caesar, it had some peppery spice that was mild but flavorful. The salmon was excellent. My partner had the Wagyu Au Poivre
