La Caridad 72 provides Asian/Cuban based cuisine. We had avocado salad and calamari for appetizers. Calamari was crispy and had that salt/pepper flavor I like which was Cantonese style. Very good. We also had crackling chicken. Crispy outside and tender inside. I wish it comes with some sauce. Boychoy was good, simply sautéed dish. Fried fish with fried rice was great. My ex-coworker recommended this place - a Cuban Chinese restaurant. We had oxtail stew and fire crackling chicken combo. Everything was very delicious and I even used bread to soak up the leftover stew. Ladies, the restroom was very clean to use.
I understand this may be the restaurant’s style and that some people enjoy it, but in my experience the food was excessively greasy—literally dripping with oil. It didn’t sit well and felt heavier than it needed to be. If the oil were dialed back even a bit, the flavors would likely come through much better and the overall dish would be far more enjoyable.
