We had a wonderful family breakfast at Lafayette during our trip to New York. The food was absolutely delicious, and every dish was beautifully presented. You can tell that great attention is paid to both quality and presentation, making the experience feel special from the moment the food arrives at the table. The service was excellent. Great spot for brunch. Large space but the energy in the restaurant is fun and the decor feels spot on. Great for large groups or family from out of town. Can be loud, but again, the energy there is big. We got the bread basket, the brisket burger, croque madamme, the smoked salmon Benedict , shakshuka, the Bloody Mary, and of course the pistachio croissant to go Would be fun to come back for dinner.
Just a regular day strolling around NYC before a booked event when we stumbled upon Lafayette. We started with the Great Jones Spritz, which I loved, and a Boylan ginger soda. The cheese platter is a must; every selection was delicious.
