We had a wonderful experience at Lalyn! The food truly delivers authentic Thai flavors. The spice level was a bit strong, but that’s exactly how Thai food should be bold and full of character and we were able to enjoy it. The Rawang Curry, a Southern Thai specialty, was especially impressive and a pleasant surprise. Kudos to the chef! Wonderful experience. Everything was flavorful. The char grilled steak was so juicy and tender. The duck curry was on the fruity side and less creamy, which was pretty unique. The prawn salad also fresh and with multiple layers of tastes. The ice cream was fragrant and balanced, and served on an ice cold plate! All the staff were super friendly and helpful, especially our server Mint, who gave us tons of recommendations and was always so nice and proud of their food.
One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve ever visited! I can’t say enough about the food, but the service is the real reason I’m writing this review. We visited on 6/27 around 6:00 PM. There was a parade happening nearby, and if you’ve ever driven through Midtown Manhattan during an event like that, you know how insane the traffic can be.
