I stopped by Las’ Lap after work on a Thursday after hearing good things about it. My friend and I tried the jerk chicken egg rolls and the codfish fritters for our starters. If I had to choose between these two options, the codfish fritters would be my pick. For the big tings, we got the jerk chicken and the oxtail. Been to Las’ Lap twice within the past couple of months. The first time was in December and the second time was Valentine’s Day weekend with my friend. It’s a smaller space with two floors, and it can definitely be hard to find a seat. The decor reminds me of being on an island but still has a rustic feel. I’m not the best at describing design, but that’s the closest I can get. Even though it’s small, I actually like that because it makes the space feel more intimate. Music is a mix of hip hop
I have been dying to try this place for a while now, heard nothing but great things, and it did not disappoint. The vibe was nice even though I went on a Wednesday and the staff was so friendly. It’s a bit hard to find the entrance, as it is very discrete (speakeasy vibes), but once inside the place is decorated really nice.
