Square thin-crust pies & Italian standards are offered in a basic, second-floor location.
From Google Maps reviews.
Went to Lazzara's based on the rating in the onebite app and it did not disappoint. Not traditional NY pizza in terms of shape (square), but the thin crispy crust and fresh sauce were both excellent and worth the trip. We also added a canoli for desert, it was equally as impressive. Service was quick and efficient although it was a little warm in the restaurant.
This has been my absolute favorite since 2013. I don’t get back to NY often, but when I do, I go to Lazzara’s! To me, this place is perfection in every way. I wish I hadn’t written this review, because I’m on my way out and craving it so hard.
What a great historic place to have really good pizza and other Italian dishes. You are made to feel like family with the warm welcome and caring service. It's a small place so a bit tight but worth it! The arugula salad (a special that night) was VERY tasty and also very large.
