Was there a Wednesday morning. The place is clean. Not really the same atmosphere as in Belgium (more cos) but nice place to dine in. The staff was friendly. Had a Pain au chocolat (in French on the menu 😍) and a cappuccino. The pain au chocolat was a little bit too dry. $14 it’s a bit expensive but I guess it’s the city… But will come back to see if the Bombe au chocolat tastes like home.
If you are looking for a gluten free sweet you can find it here, plus they have gluten free homemade breads... I tried the donut cream and the coconut sweet and it was delicious. The cream of the donut was fluffy and not too sweet, it contrasted with the dough of the donut which was more crunchy and sweet. Update: I got their regular coffee which was not good. It tastes like coffee you can get for $1 and the mini carrot cake was so pricey for such a small, bite sized pastry. The seating in the back was not clean with croissant flakes on the tables, floors and seats. Workers need to be trained how to use the machines. Their pain aux raisins was good. Flaky on the outer rings and denser in the middle. The cafe is spacious with seating in the back. I went there early in the morning and it was empty
