I used to come here as a kid. I understand it's winter hours and most of the animal exhibits were closed. Everything about this zoo says" We need help, we don't have funding" . I even asked about the Red Pandas they are somewhere. Otter exhibit was not as it used to be. Go for the goats and sheep and go on a Wednesday. None of what we did equated to 12 dollars a person. It used be 7 , they should go back to that. Staff was incredible knowledgeable and helpful.
It's a very simple zoo not a really huge layout to walk thru. You can visit everything within 1 to 2 hours. Whatever they do have is enough to get the attention of my 6 year who has been to that same zoo a hand full of time. He enjoys the small aquarium and the reptiles the most. Overall he likes it alot. Wednesday's from 2 to 4 are free!
