Cozy neighborhood bookshop/wine bar stocking popular titles & hosting events & readings.

I attended a women’s empowerment event here a few years ago and remember it being a warm, inviting space. When planning a recent bookstore date, I specifically suggested this location because I wanted to support a Black woman-owned bookstore in my hometown, the Bronx, rather than visiting another shop in Brooklyn. However, after reading multiple reviews mentioning concerns about customer service, I admit I’m hesitant. I hope the experience reflects the community-centered atmosphere I remember.
What a great spot. The only thing missing here are a few things like fountains pen 🖋️ and ink. So close to home I love it.
Amazing. Every time I go to this bookstore I leave out with at least 2 books. Friendly service, kind and welcoming community. There needs to be more spaces like this.
