Walked in on a sunday night and was able to get a seat at the bar without waiting. Service was great and the restaurant felt very modern and clean. Food was not bad - ordered the beet + rhubarb salad which was mainly just beats and nothing special. Got the gumbo roasted oysters (6pieces) which was just coated in a sauce that was similar to a bolognese sauce. Absolutely LOVED dining at Lola's. The staff were so kind and friendly and helpful. We ordered the naan to start (ate so fast we forgot to take a photo!) and the low country boil and crispy chicken thighs- both were absolutely incredible and the flavor combinations were delicious. Ended the meal with brown butter miso chocolate chip cookie, which was paired with oolong milk shots- 10000/10. Definitely will need to come back and try more dishes on the menu.
I’ve been to Lola’s three times now and it’s consistently great. We sat at the kitchen counter, which made the experience even better getting to watch everything come together. Drinks were super refreshing, especially the Yuzu Aviation and Lola’s Martini. Food-wise, everything hit: the housemade naan with carrot yogurt, crispy chicken thighs, and pork dumplings were all standouts.
