My husband and I stopped by this place over the weekend, and I honestly loved it. Very cozy atmosphere, comfortable seating, and that classic American diner feeling that’s getting harder to find these days. The onion soup was absolutely incredible — rich flavor, perfectly hot, lots of melted cheese, and clearly made fresh. One of the best French onion soups I’ve had in a long time. Everything we ordered was delicious, and I have to warn people about the portion sizes 😄 The portions here are HUG
Great place for breakfast, and I suspect for lunch. The portions are HUGE, so be cognizant of that when you order. We found out after the fact you can get smaller portions if you ask. The servers are friendly and helpful. There is a large selection of items in the menu. The restaurant appears to be very clean. The coffee is good too. Fresh squeezed orange juice is available. They do charge a fee for credit or debit cards, so pay an ATM fee and bring cash or pay a fee here using a card. My rating
My wife and I went to the Madison again for breakfast. We have been there many times over the years. We ordered an omelette and pancakes. Both were very good. But beware! The portions are huge. Service was fine and the booths are good except that they seem to be very tight in sitting space. A large person probably would be very comfortable in that tight space.
