Longtime local Middle Eastern chain serving falafel, shawarma, kebabs & more in a traditional space.
From Google Maps reviews.
The falafel is legendary, and it lives up to it — perfectly prepared. I'm honestly not sure how they pull it off. Most places like this give you burnt edges and an uneven interior, but every piece here was flawless. You can tell they've been doing this a long time. We got the McDougal and the West 4th sandwiches. Tastewise they're pretty interchangeable, but that's no complaint — both are stuffed with huge portions of well-prepared lamb, sliced into thin strips that are perfect for eating out o
Great locally owned spot with made-to order falafel, baked baklava. and outdoor-only seating. The falafel, hummus and dip were outstanding, but I wish there had been offering for fresh veggies or a side salad to enjoy along with things. I am gluten intolerant, so my partner enjoyed the pita bread. Eating along the busy street was festive and I was grateful for seating, but an indoor quieter experience would have been a reprieve from the NYC bustle.
Truly excellent. Ingredients were super fresh and the hot sauce is especially fragrant. Obviously the falafel is phenomenal but I also highly recommend the baklava. Perfect way to finish out a scrumptious meal.
