This was an interesting experience. The concept is cool and the designers definitely delivered on their vision but it just felt cold. The coffee was great and there was an excellent variety of baked goods but, once again, it felt cold. Maybe that’s what the owners wanted? I will say, it’s a great spot for those looking for some silence or a place to just think. It felt like you had to be quite which may have contributed to the cold. HIGH END SPACE. OK COFFEE. Well designed space for an NYC social. Good Pastries. Clothing… hmmm. The Coffee, however is a miss. Flat White tastes more like foamed warm milk than coffee.
Manjul Coffee completely won me over. I ordered an iced Americano with no milk, and it was honestly perfect — smooth, rich, and full of character.
