This is a cool place to visit and the drinks prices here are pretty reasonable too! Our earlier bar tender was friendly and helpful but our later bar tender was far less so. The night started well, the piano tunes were on and everyone was singing along! As the night went on, it felt a little like people were being told off.... kinda ruined the vibe a bit. I've always wanted to go to the piano bar that they since 1982 when I lived in Hoboken for a year. Well it took 44 years for me to finally make it but it was well worth every moment and I wish I had discovered it all those years ago but I guess it just made it even better now! The piano bar is in the basement level which has lower ceilings and a place was packed with singers and it was just such a wonderful atmosphere. Next time I'm in New York I'm definitely going back to Marie's crisis Cafe
Your soul needs to be in a room full of people joyously singing showtunes. We went around 9 on a Thursday in March and Marie’s was crowded but no wait get in. I’m not even a musicals lover and this was the most magical part of my trip to NYC. Just a lovely place with a diverse crowd of humans singing songs they love together. I cried bro!
