I love this place!! Best matcha. It’s my go-to treat. Also, give all the high prices across the city in general, paying a little more for great quality is worth it. And pretty sure they actually use more matcha than other places!
I’ve tried several Matchaful locations in nyc to get a concrete opinion about this place. Matchaful marketed itself as a plant based “farm-to-whisk” cafe. Which gives them an excuse to price there drinks at $10+. They have 5 locations so they’re not really a small business and I believe there are better quality matcha places in the city. The matcha by itself is done well and not grainy but any flavors you add ruins the whole drink. Most drinks are too sweet and overpower the matcha flavor. The
Wonderful place that doesn’t get enough traffic. Lovely staff that take you seriously and give you time to be intentional, especially at the front end. If you’re into the type of place that doesn’t shy away from the real or try to hide the less visually aesthetic part of the operation, you get to see the bakers and crafts people in their element as you take your Matcha and relax. Its minimal and comfortable. Unfortunately, having a nut allergy that results in death, the menu is rather limited
