We've been in NYC for just a few days, tried a few coffee shops, this one was excellent. Staff was very helpful. The mocha was a great blend of chocolate and coffee - I'm very particular on my ratio. They had syrup and extra powders for free at the counter. The spinach pie and chocolate cookie were delicious as well. Would totally go back.
This place is literally 4 mins walk from my work place and couldn't have been more convenient. Not only is it convenient, but it's great value for the price. $2 excluding tax, which is extremely a rare find around the city. They had their famous banana bread and brownie samples which were great tasting. I got their chai latte which was super tasty. Great and timely service. Coming from Melbourne, I can’t express how difficult it is to find a good cup of coffee in NYC (and I mean proper coffee, none of this Vanilla/Caramel/Toffee rubbish). The girls at Matto in Midtown make the best coffee in Manhattan. They’re also super friendly.
