We have been to this MATTO several times over the past year. It s conveniently located on busy 1st Ave next to TAL Bagels. This time we ordered an Americano which was delicious and a blueberry muffin, which was good but too much like a sponge cake. We like it a little firmer and stiff crust. Only a few seats but very pleasant to sit by the window and watch NY pass by. And the staff are always very nice and efficient.
I love this Matto. We go often. Great price point and tasty coffee and pastries. Danielle and Nathan are wonderful and very friendly.
It's a solid. dependable, place. You get decent coffee and halfway decent food. However, the staff here is consistently hard-working and kind, so it keeps you coming back.
