A real deal neighborhood Mexican restaurant. The food is flavorful, fresh and quickly prepared. The service is fast and efficient. The drinks are strong and decently priced. Nice all day happy hour during the week for drinks! Ate fish tacos and elotes, both were really good. Decor is nice and gives an authentic feel. Mojitos were tasty!
As a huge fan of the Haab East Williamsburg location, I was excited to try Mexico Auténtico in park slope as it was formerly Haab and has a lot of vegan options. The inside looks cute, but the portions were laughably small and totally overpriced. 2 takeout burritos (before tip) were $45 and as you can see from my photo, not at all filling. It’s a shame because the chicken burrito tasted pretty good (4 stars for taste), but a $23 burrito should have heft, weight, and leave you feeling full. Won’
