I came here last week to purchase curry chicken, rice & peas and sweet plantains. I asked the server if I may also have salad. Her response was uncalled for. She stated in a very stern way, "You only get one side!" This was not a problem for me but it wasn't necessary for the attitude. I decided not to leave her a tip. I must add that i was the only customer there and there was more than enough food. I wouldn't mind if she had said it in a nice way and charged me extra for the additional side
The food is a hit or miss!!! The last food I had was the curry goat with rice & peas & it was so nasty I couldn't eat it. The soup is the only thing that's more consistent with taste. Usually when a restaurant food is nasty the customer service is good but in this case they struggling with both 🥴. The owner is friendly though.
I don’t usually make a review, but my experience this morning was exceptional. First of all, the server at the counter was very friendly! She greeted me with a smile which made the experience so wonderful. I ordered the ackee and saltfish with some ground provisions. I’m a picky woman because I never feel anyone makes ackee and saltfish remotely close to how my mom makes it for me. But I must say, the flavor was excellent and the spice level was perfect.
