During our visit to New York, as we were walking from Pier 83 on the Hudson River toward Times Square, we were looking for a nice spot to escape the blazing sun and grab a bite to eat. Luckily, we happened to walk right past Mom's. The service was super friendly and attentive, and the food (Mom’s Burger with corn on the cob as a side) was simply great. The place has a welcoming atmosphere—maybe a little dark, but clean. Definitely worth recommending.
If nostalgia could be served for breakfast, this place would be home. Simple, sweet, and truly unforgettable. We had lunch there and since we heard the portions were big we shared the following: Fried chicken plate which comes with two sides, chosen were green beans and Mac & Cheese. It came with 3 pieces of chicken which meant we each had one. The Mac and cheese had a good cheese sauce.
