Great food and ambiance. Would say similar vibes to polo bar but although polo bar has a meaningfully better, sharper martini but monkey bar has a better French dip and burger… so it’s a toss up which one is ultimately better. We got the rigatoni, French dip, burger and rib eye… French dip was hands down the best thing and I would go back just for that
Loved it!! Had no reservation, so showed up just before opening time and got a great table in bar area. Really friendly staff and wonderful food. The monkey bread still has me dreaming about it!! Great cocktails too. Atmosphere was fantastic and we were not rushed out. Will definitely be back next time we’re in NYC!
I was really excited to try this restaurant out as i have heard many great things. We did not have a reservation as we know it’s extremely hard to get. So we decided to walk in around 8:45 pm and put our name down. The hostess was friendly and reassured us she can’t guarantee we get a table. We waited around and by 10 pm she came up to us and let us know that she could seat us. Shout out to her! I don’t remember her name but It’s a breath of fresh air when you get to experience nice front of hou
