I used to go to the Moshe's Falafel cart on 46th Street weekly throughout the 1990s and 2000s. Haven't been there in probably 20 years though. Was happy to see they now have a brick and mortar store on W83rd Street. I was visiting the city and stopped in for a falafel at 83rd St. It tasted exactly the same as I remember from 46th Street back in the day. This is hands-down the best falafel you can get anywhere in New York City. Easy online ordering, and the person at the counter was very nice.
This is hands-down the best falafel joint in the neighborhood. Though more expensive than it’s competitor, just a few blocks away on Columbus, the falafel sandwich at Moshe’s is so tasty and hearty, packed with a range of ingredients (including a few french fries) as well as the starring role of the freshly made deliciously moist falafel balls. This location opened a week ago and I'm glad I found it when I searched for vegan food nearby. Delicious food + excellent staff/customer service. I ordered the Hummus plate with falafel and eggplant and pita. It was so delicious!! I need to tell everyone about this place. The falafel is fresh and plated right before serving so it doesn’t get soggy. I didn't want french fries so they substituted cucumbers for me. Lots of fresh veggies available here.
