I dropped by this morning for a quick bite and was seriously impressed by the quality of the food here. I ordered an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese, and it was one of the freshest bagels I’ve had in a while - perfectly chewy on the inside with a great, seasoned crust. The scallion cream cheese was really flavorful and spread very generously, which I appreciated. Beyond the excellent taste, it was fantastic value for money. Outstanding service and genuine kindness! I stopped in NYC just for bagels on my way back from Massachusetts. I needed to bring some cream cheese spread with me for my trip. The staff went completely out of their way to help me by carefully packing the spread with ice packs so it would stay fresh during travel. We really wanted to like Murray's Bagels. The names of the sandwiches were fun and the menu looked good. However, we didn't have a good experience. The food was so so at best. Now that could be because our sandwiches sat for at least 10 minutes waiting for the staff to heat up our knish. The knish was squashed, the eggs were cold, and the one roasted bagels tasted chewy.
