I had to see if Ramen Nakamura lived up to its #3 ranking on Timeout's best ramen list. This hidden gem on the Lower East Side is a small, intimate spot perfect for a quick, fantastic meal. The appetizers were a highlight, especially the yummy Yuzu Wings-which was my favorite. Also enjoyed the shishito peppers, the geso calamari had a nice chew. Ramen is delicious, the broth is made extremely well and rich yet balanced. The space is a bit tight but it's also very down to earth and cozy. I'll be back too. Their menu is very unique on what soups they have.
Despite the small size, this ramen shop is one of the best in the city. Shrimp wontons were on point, the noodles they used in my ramen were delicious and similar to angel hair pasta. My girlfriend got the Shaki shaki ramen and really enjoyed it. Vibe, food, service, everything was superb.
