The place still has that early 2000s/Late 90s vibe. Quaint and quiet. The staff are friendly and inviting. The lovely lady that was my server today was so kind and when she bought my food out you could tell she was excited to do so. The dish itself was delicious. Crunchy, crispy, saucy, and the fried rice had big chunks of meat that made me understand why fried rice is a main dish. Lots of color and flavor. Wish I could like this place. I think people stick to the idea of what this used to be and mean back then. I’ve tried it twice, different locations… I just found the rice in particular oily and unflavored. I could make something better in my house. The general tso chicken was really good. The banana colada was soo yummy. Like spiked baby food, I used to love those Goya banana flavored baby food. The atmosphere was cool, open, bright. I would give this place another try, in the hood next time.
This place has brought me back to my childhood , when they were first locked on Delancey street in Manhattan. The food was amazing. Definitely will continue to come back.
