I’ve been dining at Nocello for 19 years and realized I’d never left a review here for everyone to see - but I tell everyone I know about it. I started going to Nocello because my Dad loves it. He travelled to NYC for work his whole life and has prioritized this fantastic restaurant since it opened because he asked after his favorite staff member at his other regular spot and learned he’d left to run Nocello. Between us we’ve had everything on the menu and each have our favorites but you truly
This is a reasonably priced Italian place for midtown. Food is very good with real person portion sizes. It feels relaxed. The light up menus are a bit odd. The one knock is that they push the bread REALLY hard: at one point we were asked like 5 times within 10 minutes if we wanted it, and as others have noted it’s not free. We couldn’t help but laugh, but it definitely made the place seem cheap.
We celebrated my husband Erick's birthday on January 19th (9 people) and had a very pleasant and delicious dinner. It's worth mentioning that we've been to this restaurant many times before and have always had a great experience. Food, drinks, service, and atmosphere: 100/100. We will definitely return and we recommend it 100%.
