Nice hotel with customer-friendly service. Special thanks to the friendly and sweet staff member from Ghana who took our breakfast order — she truly made our stay worthwhile. Also, thanks to the front desk staff; everyone was very friendly. A special mention to the lady with black hair who helped us keep our room when we forgot to book it for Saturday. Thank you all for your kindness and excellent service.
The room was spacious for NYC and the bed was comfortable. Beyond that, pretty disappointing to have a shower only kind of work, missing key in room amenities, and just generally old. Everything else about the hotel is great though! Friendly staff you get to know, easy luggage storage, great location right by Bryant park and subway entrances. And above all, they didn’t charge me to check in early! Would stay here again - but won’t settle for a subpar room next time.
It took 3 hours in the lobby’s seating to check-in. My group had multiple rooms booked at this hotel for a work trip, and I myself had already checked in. One coworker’s reservation showed a date mismatch between his email confirmation (documented as correct) and the hotel’s internal system — so the hotel auto-cancelled it. The night desk clerk spent over 2 hours attempting to rebook, showing us his screen at least 3x throughout the night, asking us to “sit down”, and handing out juices -- as
