Tried Obao for the first time today because my friend who comes often recommended it and the food was amazing. All prices were reasonable. The Chicken Khao Soi curry was perfect level of spice and the chicken was so good. It had both crispy and soft noodles in there. My friend's tofu drunken noodle was good too. Our server Dior was so sweet and attentive. The food came out pretty quick. I'm happy they had fresh mango sticky rice and it was a decent portion. Definitely coming back again.
The Thai dishes here are delicious. I didn’t get a chance to try the Vietnamese dishes, but I’m sure they are delectable as well. I had the crispy pork belly app and the crab fried rice entree (with a Thai fried egg and grilled shrimp on the side), and both were excellent. Everything was seasoned perfectly and nothing was too salty nor too bland. My taste buds and tummy were very happy. The service here is great - the bartenders, especially JJ & Rose!, and wait staff are all so very nice and tho
May took such amazing care of us! The Khao Soi was PERFECT! It is hard to find a khao soi dish this authentic. They also were able to easily accommodate my request to make it vegetarian and placed large,delicious, perfectly cooked tofu instead of chicken for me. A beautiful location, not far from Grand Central Station. The back dining room is gorgeous, window seating available also.
