For vibes and atmosphere and the energy and warm smile of the man behind the counter, it’s 5 stars. Think NYC diner with Mexican food options: American breakfast, burgers, salads, sandwiches pizza, gyro, Mexican omelets, tacos, burritos, torta, coffee, etc. My lengua torta ($11) was average in size and taste; meat was very tender. Dining partner’s taco was fresh tasting but not cheap at $4.50 for chicken. The 2 eggs with toast was over priced at $8.50 (should have been like $4-5). Due to hi cost/avg value, I doubt I would return with so many options in the neighborhood. Feb 2024
Has that real authentic mexican food that is hard to find in the city. Its not some $15 for 2 tiny taco kind of place. Got the queso birria tacos and it was pretty amazing. Definitely cheesy and a bit greasy but the birria dip was awesome. Next time ill probably get a burrito but worth trying the birria Atmosphere is good i like having the grill right in front, but definitely not upscale or anything. I like holes in the wall places
