We were an early reservation, so we didnt get to partake in what looks like a very likely great vibe. We eat out more for the food anyway, vibes are secondary. That being said, we clearly over ordered, but it gave a great overview of what's coming out of the kitchen. OK, lets get into it.... we had the Soft Crab roll. Best meal/experience of my life. I know that sounds crazy but I have been to many amazing restaurants around the world and have been blown away but always too lazy to review. Papasan had the most unique and delicious dishes, the service was beyond expectations, and the drinks amazing. I can not wait until the next time I come back and show more friends.
TLDR: Papa San is the next chapter of the same team that brought us Llama San, etc. Very flavorful but pricey and smaller portions - good for that corporate expense card. Cacio e pepe udon, burger sando. I was always a fan of Llama San so when I heard of Papa San coming - I was excited. The space is right at the corner of 34th and 10th and it's cool to have a nikkei (Japanese/Peruvian) option available.
