I've been coming to Picky Barista on West 72nd since they opened 2.5 years ago and what a welcome addition to the neighborhood. They have a variety coffee and teas along with seasonal specials. Their sandwiches and pastries are freshly prepared in-house and never disappoints. Last but not least, the baristas are gems! Friendly, helpful and the definition of hospitality. I'm will be a loyal customer forever.
Stopped in for the first time today and it will be the last time. I bought a coffee and a pre-made pastry that needed heating. That took 25 minutes out of my life. The coffee came quickly, it was mid, they forgot the pastry, but the barista had plenty of time to have a 15 minute conversation with her coworker. It wasn’t until another customer’s item came out of the back and I asked if it was mine did they realize they forgot my pastry. They apologized and put in the warmer. I got it and left. I
Came here for our morning coffee and some pastries. Got the butter croissant and banana bread. Banana bread was very soft and fluffy. Flavor is moderate and not too sweet or overpowering. Butter croissant was fluffy but outside wasn’t as crispy. Chai latte was alright. It gets really busy on weekends but thankfully there are seats outside too. Lots of dogs inside and outside so it’s pretty pet friendly! Plenty of different seating like couches, tables and high top tables.
