Not famous. NGMI. This place has a strange business model. They don't sell individual bagels unless you press the issue, trying to get you to buy "packs" of bagels and their shmear. What if I'm just one person? What if I want to use the bagels for something other than their shmear? Individual bagels cost $3 each. To their credit, they were warm/fresh. But they're tiny. And sort of bready, more like black seed than a NY bagel. The atmosphere is generic/basic. Doesn't feel like Brooklyn. People
Both my daughter and I had this place on our radar before coming to NY and when we were exploring Williamsburg on a cold rainy Friday this was a no brainer! I was concerned with the hype these bagels have been getting that we would be dealing with long lines but fortunately we were able to walk right up and order. You cant order individual bagels. The minimum order is 3 but this gives you the opportunity to try all three of their offerings (everything, salt, & plain) and then you just "Rip & Dip
Overall quality of the bagels was excellent; chewy crust, light and soft inside, well baked. My only issue was the poppy seed bagel was heavily salted, which I wouldn't expect. It actually had more salt than a salt bagel I ordered! Looking at pictures, that might be a consistency issue. The poppy seed bagel is salted but not normally to this degree. Just a for warning to those who watch their salt intake
