What an amazing place! It was beyond my expectations. We had a Kaiseki dinner and some à la cart dishes. We sat at the counter in front of the chef and looked at the preparation which made me very excited. Every single dish had such beautiful presentation and tasted so perfect. Also don’t forget to check out their sake list. Will definitely go back soon.
A good omakase experiences in Soho. We found this place by coincidence, and it turned out to be much better than expected. Great service and tasty food. Fewer raw dishes and plenty more cooked courses. All tasted pretty good. The owner Ryan is friendly and knowledgeable of Japan and its culture and food. We had a good chat. The sake and wine selection was adequate. I particularly liked the fact that the menu price included service charge and taxes. I would recommend this place to anyone yearning
Rei is an absolute 10/10 hidden gem in Soho. This 20-seat, Tokyo-style sanctuary offers a level of authenticity and intimacy that is rare in NYC. We opted for the $150 set menu and added a few à la carte items to share. Highlights from the set menu included the Japanese-style pudding with uni and caviar, the seasonal sashimi, and the grilled Miyazaki wagyu.
