We had a nice stay here. The rooms are comfortable and the staff were helpful. The location is convenient if you don't mind crowded streets. Transportation to all the areas of Manhattan and Brooklyn was really easy from this location. If you come in from Laguardia be sure to check out the Uber Shuttle, it is about $19 per person and has a stop near the hotel.
This was a great hotel for our stay in NYC. It was a nice size room, and the design is nice, aiming for a modern take on 1940s style, although it did feel a bit old in the bathroom and dark in the corridors. We did have a bit of trouble with getting the room cool during a heatwave, and the windows were also in desperate need of a clean. Otherwise, no real issues. I'm disappointed with my decision to stay at Romer Hotel for my 40th birthday. I increased my budget because it seemed special but the "deluxe" king corner room was dark, dingy and worst of all the service was extremely unfriendly with the exception of one of the doormen (a slender fellow with glasses.)
