Roman eatery boasting a lengthy wine list, a tasting menu and familiar Italian dishes.
From Google Maps reviews.
A hidden gem of an Italian restaurant in the West Village - does the “Roman” part put familiar Mediterranean/Spanish flavors on the menu? Perhaps! Dinner was delicious, service was great, and the space is cozy and decorated beautifully. My favorites were the anchovies with nori butter, tuna crudo, Amatriciana pasta, and grilled Iberico. The wine list had too many unfamiliar wines for me - the servers were helpful in selecting a wine by the glass. Recommended.
We had the Cacio e pepe and Branzino. The pasta is truly exquisite. The branzino was prepared perfectly and very tasty with the pine nuts. The focacia is a must do as it was pillow soft on the inside with a light crust outside. Olive oil was perfect. The staff was amazing. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The ambiance was a great surprise with a blend of music that makes you happy especially some classics from the 70's and 80's.
I had an amazing experience at Roscioli. The food was truly excellent and you can really taste the quality and care in every dish. The atmosphere was cozy, warm, and comfortable, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. Service was also fantastic and attentive without being overwhelming. Overall, a great spot with high-quality food, good service, and a welcoming environment. Would definitely come back.
