GEM FOR PARENTS! Not only is the place generally great on its own, it is an ideal restaurant for families with young kids. Outdoor space to play around on the tuk tuks. A super generous happy hour. A dedicated kids menu. High chairs. All of it. Sage is the best place in the area for a large group & especially anyone with children. Oh, the green curry is fantastic (spicy).
Sage in Brooklyn is easily the best Thai food I’ve ever had. We were seated immediately, the staff was quick, helpful, and efficient, and the food came out fast—but still tasted like it was made with real care. We started with the popcorn shrimp, and the sauce that comes with it is unreal—I literally asked for a second cup because I couldn’t get enough. There are SO many Thai places in this neighborhood but Sage is the best overall and has been for a long time. The food is reliably good, the portions are huge, and the prices are reasonable. Takeout is easy but they also have a huge outdoor space when the weather’s nice and you want a lychee martini. Sometimes they have a jazz trio on Fridays. The lunch special is probably the best in the neighborhood. What more could you want!
