Decent food at reasonable prices. If you like this type of so called Halal food you probably have better chick or lamp over rice from a food truck. Some of the Halal food trucks in midtown are amazing, lots of flair because they make everything taste on the spot so they fresh. But food trucks can also get you sick. At Shah’s they have turn it into a fast food chain, so it’s clean following health department rule and what not. But then there is a trade off, freshness is not there. The food
Went in to try the golden shahwarma but was immediately met with “im too busy, its going to take 15 minutes” then walks away. I then say no problem ill wait and then he mutters the same again. I even offered to come back at a later time but was still ignored so I walked out. Came in hype and left disappointed.
Small resturant with two seating area facing the street, can seat about 5 people. Employee was very welcoming and patient. I got the combo over rice platter and it was packed to the brim. Everything was very fresh and delicious. I highly recommend getting the white sauce, hot sauce, and the green sauce (cilantro and vinegar?). One of the best halal food in the city!
