Shamas Deli is out of this world! You may know it as the finest sandwich shop in midtown, a great place to get a sub on-the-go. But Johnny and the boys took it to a new level producing catering trays for my 46 person party. Guests were raving! Not a sandwich in sight by the end. Endless jars of mayo, pickles, hot peppers on the side. Above and beyond - thank you to the world class Shamas deli!
Was looking for a great pastrami sandwich while visiting New York and found it! The location is just a tiny hole in the wall practically in a parking garage. We had a sweet man make us the perfect sandwich. Pastrami was excellent, bread was delicious, and all the other fixings were just right! It’s grab and go and no place nearby to eat, but the place itself felt very New York to me!
Loved it. Had a conversation with the attendant (might have been the owner - not sure). Regardless, they were helpful, excited to help us select the best of the best. Didn’t try to talk us into anything but guided us selecting the sandwiches we wanted. So good.
