I had the salmon teriyaki and my cousin had the chicken katsu sandwich. They were both delicious. The rice is so good. Dear reader, don’t ask why I’m complimenting rice, just go try it. My cousin, who is a picky eater, did not leave a crumb behind for her meal. Lots of good stuff available in the market as well.
Don’t want to be too harsh as I’ve long loved this spot and think that the staff are lovely, so I’ll simply say that despite my love, lately the rice (especially the onigiri) has been way too salty. Overwhelming. It’s starting to turn both me and my friends off from ordering onigiri here in general. They used to be ace and the problem really is exclusively the saltiness. Hope it gets fixed soon!
If you’re looking for a meal that’s both delicious and delightfully unique, this spot delivers in every way! Lots of various tasty rice and noodle dishes. Loved the eel! And as if the food wasn’t enough, the attached Asian grocery store is an absolute gem! It’s stocked with classic favorites you know and love, alongside new flavors and treats just waiting to be discovered.
