Old school charm and a time capsule in a very good way, brings back memories especially bringing my own children now there. The pretzels Pizza is amazingly well done and cooked to order when you want it even though they are always short-staffed the staff works hard and accommodates everyone great! Some fruit flies looking for shiny polish and all that bells and whistles forget the five star review but you got to look past that to its charm.
First and foremost, I would like to help others that might have been like me by saying Yes, this bowling alley is still active and open. Next, I cannot speak to the arcade or food as I have not tried either of them. Showplace Bowling does offer a good time at an actually reasonable price per hour. Their lanes are oiled and their pin loaders are very rapid (I can barely pick up my spare ball before the pin loader has cycled). The music here is excellent and the house balls are decent, too. HOW
If you can get past the fact that it's tucked in the back of a long crumbled strip mall and where, at night, you'd probably feel like you were a second away from getting mugged (disclaimer, no evidence that this has happened or is likely as far as I know) -- you'll find nice lanes and an updated scoring system at a low price. Particularly looking forward to trying out their selection of "bowling games" that alter the typical rules of bowling next time I go with my kiddo.
