Relaxed eatery doling out Japanese soba noodle dishes, rice bowls & a variety of sake.
From Google Maps reviews.
Highly recommended if you work around the area, with sparse options near Columbus circle, this soba noodle spot is a no frills affair that offers great value and focused menu. If you are looking to duck the heat and want a light refreshing soba meal this is the spot.
This all felt oddly Japanese. The menus were well laminated, but had some of the old cheesy photos taken decades ago. The types of dishes felt very authentic. I thought the soba noodles were fresh and had the right chew to them for the cold zaru noodle style. The large size is 300g and comes in a comically large bowl, but you can totally finish it if you believe in yourself. I could see myself coming here alone and taking down some dinner sets.
A great soba noodle shop among multiple adjacent Japanese restaurants on the block. Been to many times for their lunch set meals. Crispy curry katsu, lotus root, tempuras. Fragrant hot and cold soba with dipping sauces. Good price for the area, friendly fast service, sweet matcha desserts.
