Sadly this place has so much potential. I love Cuban/Caribbean food and this place did not hit as i was hoping. The rice was hard and mushy at the same time. Not sure how to explain it but definitely had to monitor every bite to make sure I didnt chip my tooth. The beef portions were slightly below average at best and for the $20/plate, it could have been more. The only thing that hit was the canned Fanta.
I work by location and hear from coworkers about the good food. Today 04/29 maybe cause it was lunch time but service from start to finish was horrible. The person taking my order was annoyed at me. I asked to not but the fat part of the Perni on my plate her face was like I was asking her to operate. The cashier was upset I paid with cash. The food was salting and such a disappointment. I would not give them my time or money again.
The food was genuinely disappointing. Everything was extremely dry, the pork, rice everything. Like it had been sitting out for hours with no care put into freshness or flavor. Each bite somehow managed to be blander than the last, and even the sauces couldn’t save it. Portions looked decent, but none of it was satisfying—I left still hungry and annoyed.
