🕵️♂️💻 Just visited SPYSCAPE in NYC and honestly… what a wild experience. Part museum, part interactive spy thriller, part “maybe I’ve watched too many espionage movies and now I’m thriving.” Every section pulls you into a different world of intelligence work, from codebreaking and surveillance to deception detection and cyber security. If you are visiting NYC looking for something to do with active teens, this is a must! My 16 y/o son is not big on traditional museums and hours of sightseeing, so I was looking for things we could “do”. He’s active, competitive, and loves anything that is game-ified. We both really enjoyed the all the interactive spygames. Even the museum part was interactive, and getting our spy profiles at the end was really cool. I highly recommend this place as a break from the typical city sights.
Super cool experience that you could easily spend 3-4 hours doing. The lockers were a little janky at the beginning, so perhaps don't bring anything valuable. You wouldn't be able to keep it on your person during the very physical games. The gaming part was a lot more physical than expected, so recommendation to wear loose fitting clothing and bring a hair tie! The museum part is engaging for children and adults of all ages. A bit costly, but a unique enjoyable experience.
