I would strongly advise against using Squarespace as your domain registrar. I recently experienced a serious issue where custom nameserver (NS) changes were not propagating correctly across parts of the internet. Despite spending significant time troubleshooting the issue, there was no way to speak with a knowledgeable support representative by phone because Squarespace does not offer phone support. Customer Service has REALLY fallen. There was a time when their customer service was unmatched. Now unfortunately they can't even reset a password correctly. BUT they're happy to continually ask if you want to pay money for "professional help." I just want to be able to log in without trouble - but I guess that's not free anymore.
Their own website is trash. Their "award winning customer support team" that's "available 24/7" is nothing more than a hundred or so "how-to" pages that are unnecessarily long. After reading three of these long winded instructionals with contradictory directions and pressing countless buttons, I managed to finally delete my account.
