Ssam tong is one of the best Korean bbqs I've ever had. The owner is super nice and we always experience amazing customer service. If you love quality meats with delicious homemade side dishes go here. The marinade is for the meats he uses is really good. Some Korean bbq places focus on just getting orders out and quality drops, this is not one of those places. The marinade isn't overly sweet either which can happen at some other bbq restaurants. Ssam Tong Korean Barbecue in Flushing Queens is the real deal! Incredibly high class tasty Korean BBQ dishes but with a local down to earth cozy vibe. Our Korean American friend took us and ordered in Korean for us. Every dish was superb, including all the Korean appetizers. There are some tofu, other vegetarian and pescatarian options. What a treasure! My recommendation is that you go even if you aren't local. Exceptional service along with high-quality cuts. The owner and victor were both warmly welcomed and provided excellent service. They have the greatest pork in town, so we got their beef combo and two individual pork orders. Leave your platinum card at home, AMEX NOT ACCEPTED.
